August and September are locked. October is not.
Through October 14 (14 days), the closet is ahead of both prior months on pace — more units per day, more gross per day — with a slightly smaller average sale and a cost column that is only locked on what has sold so far.
This is a mid-month receipt, not a victory lap.
October so far (through 10/14)
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Units sold | 27 |
| Gross | $703.69 |
| Average sale | $26.06 |
| Net after fees | ~$538 |
| Profit after cost (sold items) | ~$380 |
| Top platform | Poshmark |
Poshmark is carrying volume this month. That is a change from August and September, when eBay led.
Platform split
| Platform | Units | Gross |
|---|---|---|
| Poshmark | 13 | $366.00 |
| Depop | 7 | $190.60 |
| eBay | 7 | $147.09 |

Pace vs August and September
| Period | Units | Gross | ~$/day | ~Units/day | Avg sale |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| August (full) | 34 | $952 | ~$31 | ~1.1 | ~$28 |
| September (full) | 46 | $1,296 | ~$43 | ~1.5 | ~$28 |
| October (14 days) | 27 | $704 | ~$50 | ~1.9 | $26.06 |
If this rate held for a full 31-day month, you land near ~$1,550 gross and ~60 units — ahead of September on volume, a bit under on average sale ($26 vs ~$28).
That is a projection, not a lock. Pace can slow. Fees and residual costs still move. eBay lines that have not posted final earnings can nudge the totals.
What is still open
Live inventory cost is about $1,069 across 197 items in the ledger. That is money still sitting on the rack, not profit.
That figure does not include today’s 1368–1379 batch ($6.25 each) plus the $35 sweater. New cost went on the books after this snapshot.
Mid-month profit (~$380 after cost on what sold) only covers the sold column. It does not mean the closet is “up $380” after every dollar still tied in live stock.
Small print on this pull
The ledger copy behind these numbers was saved before the 10/14 evening sales. Vionic wedges and the Woods & Gray argyle were added by hand. eBay final earnings that have not posted yet can move net and profit slightly.
Same rule as always: pending is pending. Gross is not profit. Live inventory is not a win until it sells through.
Verdict
October is ahead on pace, slightly down on average sale, and not locked.
Would I rather be here than at the old $78 / underwater update? Yes.
Would I publish a full-month profit number today? No.
Next update is either a later-October checkpoint or the month lock — gross, fees, COGS on every sold SKU, profit — same as August and September. Whichever comes first.
The hours behind the earlier $1,349 and the process for locking a month are already on the blog if you want the system under this scorecard.
